Transmute yourselves to the 2000's in a second with a 100% dark child playlist
Darkchild, in the early 2000s, was a name you’d hear everywhere, and his hit-making sound was so infectious that it became the standard for pop songs for a few years. Producers all over the world, tried to imitate his funky and warm pop style. Just that whisper—"Darkchild"—takes me straight back to high school.
If you were aware during those years, chances are you know all these songs and can surprisingly remember their lyrics. Personally, listening to a playlist of his songs triggers extreme waves of nostalgia for me. I’m not sure whether I love it or hate it, but it feels like a room in my soul I haven’t visited in years, filled with cobwebs. Yet, I still have a kind of sentimental sympathy for it. Give it a try.
By the way, looking back on the lyrics of the songs - most of them are women power songs, speaking about a distrustful and self-centered men. makes you wonder.
Best of:
Somehow and not surprisingly Whitney Huston brings out the best of Dark Child, his production with the soft Xylophone sounds, sounds warm and very classy. Awesome song, about distrustful and self-centered men
A song that is a bit different on his song list, an self-empowering song that is really honest and personal, and that is also reflected on the production, which is softer and gentler and more guitar oriented. That song is still relevant for teenagers to hear, and still kind of moving even for a grown up man like me.
